Finally, Staycation: All the Hotels Allowed to Operate Starting October 16
Aside from the reopening of cinemas and theme parks, accredited hotels will also be able to reopen to the public.
Now that a majority of the population in Metro Manila is fully vaccinated, the government has decided to relax some of the pandemic restrictions as it lowered the region’s alert status to Level 3.
“Individuals of all ages may check-in for a staycation. However, to ensure the safety of all guests, only those 18 years old and above who are fully vaccinated shall be allowed to book their stay,” the Department of Tourism (DOT) said on October 14.
Under the amended guidelines, only DOT-accredited staycation hotels with government-issued safety seal certification will be allowed to accommodate staycation guests.
The updated list provided by the DOT includes the following hotels:
1. Grand Hyatt Hotel
2. Okada Manila Hotel
3. Shangri-la at the Fort
4. Nobu Hotel
5. Joy Nostalg Hotel & Suites Manila
6. EDSA Shangri-la Manila
7. Solaire Resort
