Five Fun Ideas Halloween Fans Can Enjoy All Year Round

Halloween Ideas

When the costume parties and trick-or-treating are done for the night, Halloween fans do not have to say good night to their favorite time of the year.
For the thrill seekers, there are of course the haunted houses, abandoned hospitals and balete drives that can give that spine-tingling, hair-raising experience they are after. But for those looking unwilling to don the deviled horns, there are still a lot of spooky fun all year round. Here are five Halloween ideas you can enjoy without making people think you’re crazy.

Binge Watch Horror Movies

Horror movies is perhaps the best genre to see when in groups. Imagine who among your friends will shriek the loudest when Valak shows up in The Conjuring 2. Guess who actually has a viable survival plan in a George Romero zombie apocalypse. And have fun betting who can finish the stomach-turning Human Centipede. So get your squad together, set up your Netflix or Hulu, and have fun scaring yourself all night long.

Walk with the Ghosts of History

Add a dose of history to your usual ghost hunting with a ghost walk tour in Intramuros. Originally organized for the Center for Paranormal Studies, the Intramuros Ghost Walk is private walking tour that explores supernatural sightings at night. The tour guides also share the eerie history of the walled city and people who once lived and now haunts the place. Just be careful taking photos, as you might capture some startling souvenirs.

Assembly Time: 5:00PM
Tickets: Php 350

Be a Ghostbuster

Dreams do come true for the Ghostbusters fans of Manila. Enchanted Kingdom opened the Ghostbusters Adventure Live for its 21st anniversary. The Ghostbusters Adventure Live is a spooky fun adventure designed to see if you are worthy of the uniform and proton pack. The Ghostbusters attraction takes you through the various scenes of the movie like the NYC Firehouse HQ and the iconic ghosts that appears in all three movies.

Address: Enchanted Kingdom, San Lorenzo Rd, Laguna, Santa Rosa, 4026
Hours: Wednesday to Friday 12:00NN to 7:00PM, Saturday to Sunday 11:00AM to 9:00PM
Tickets: Php 800 (Weekdays), Php 900 (Weekends)

Break out of an Escape Room

So you think you can do better than the hero of your favorite horror movie? With various escape room attractions in the Metro, you can now star in your own horror flick. Escape room games are physical adventure games wherein players are locked in a room mystery or horror themed room. The goal is to escape the room within the set time limit by solving the puzzles and riddles before you give in to your fears and panic. For Insidious movie fans, we suggest The Red Door of Breakout Philippines in SM North Edsa branch.

Address: Breakout Philippines, 2nd Floor of the The Block, SM City North Edsa, Quezon City
Hours: 10:00AM – 9:00PM
Tickets: Starts at Php 300 on weekdays, Php 400 on weekends

Be a Detective for a Night

From the team that brought you Mystery Manila comes another party game to die for. Murder Manila is a role-playing life-sized version of Cluedo, a classic murder mystery game. Murder Manila organizes a private party where you and your guests will play the victim, suspects and murderer. Throughout the night, you will need to use your sleuthing skills to figure out whodunit before he/she murders again.

And while it is still Halloween, let us enjoy the festivities while it lasts. Grand Hyatt Manila is hosting a grand ghoulish feast of your favorites on All Hallows Eve, October 31, 2018. Spend a spooktacular time at face painting and balloon twisting stations, or go trick or treating at The Cellar and The Lounge.
Come in your best costume and get a chance to win a special prize! Children below 12 years old who come in their best costume get to dine for free. Available on 31 October 2018, from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM at PHP 2,400 nett.
