Federal Land President, Mr. Pascual M. Garcia, III, hands over the trophy to Ms. Maureen Joy Austria, the 2017 Grand Awardee for the Metrobank Art & Design Excellence (MADE) Architecture and Interior Design Recognition Program, for Pagtaguyod.
LE PAVILLON, PASAY (September 21, 2017) – Federal Land, Inc., one of the country’s leading real estate developers, sponsors the 2017 MADE Architecture and Interior Design recognition programs of the Metrobank Foundation, Inc. for the 12th consecutive year.
Federal Land has been in partnership with the Metrobank Foundation in promoting Filipino creativity and sustainable design through the MADE Architecture and Interior Design recognition programs since 2005.
Together with the Metrobank Foundation, Federal Land supports in strengthening efforts to reach out to many sculptors nationally to keep up with MADE’s endeavour as a nationwide search. This endeavour inspires both organizations to keep working hand in hand into driving Filipino artistic excellence.
The MADE Sculpture Recognition Programs marks its 14th year in the art recognition scene. The program has awarded 13 amateurs and 10 professional sculptors all exemplary in their chosen field. Some of which have successfully established their own names in the local and international art scenes such as Leeroy New, Mervy Pueblo, Duddley Diaz and Juan Sajid Imao.
In 2017, Federal Land, Inc. (FLI) has chosen one from the works of the five finalists for the Sculpture category and gave recognition to the 2017 GRAND AWARDEE of the Metrobank Art & Design Excellence (MADE) Architecture and Interior Design Recognition Program – “Pagtaguyod,” by Moreen Joy Austria. “Pagtaguyod” showcases two elements: a) family connection (a dynamic form of interlocking bodies constituting a Filipino family, the work expressively demonstrates the ideal harmony and cooperation of this basic unit of society); and b) national identity in stainless steel in plain and bronze finish (‘being Filipino’: we are a people of faith, family, relationships, and hope’).
