Top Destinations in Manila Bay Area
What is your favorite place in the Bay Area?
Years ago, I would only answer the Baywalk because of the glorious sunsets Manila is famous for. But today, the Bay Area is quickly becoming the new lifestyle and entertainment capital of Manila with its new establishments sprouting here and there. I honestly cannot keep up with all the new places, so I asked random citizens of the South (of Metro Manila) of what is their go-to spot around Manila Bay.
“I love the shows at The Theater in Solaire Resorts and Casino. Two weeks ago, I brought my students to watch the Lion King. It was spectacular.” – Tina, Theater teacher
“Definitely the DreamPlay at the City of Dreams. I have little kids, and it is a godsend. I say the magic word (DreamPlay), and they would be the best little angels for the whole month!” – Aiza, Mommy of two
“The Fountain in Okada Manila is impressive! I have seen the dancing water fountains of Burj Khalifa in Dubai and Bellagio in Las Vegas, and I must say Okada puts Manila on the map of world-class luxury.” – Daryl, Travel Blogger
“I must say these new lavish casinos are what dreams are made of. As a casino aficionado, I am thrilled to have great choices this close to home. I don’t have to go to Clark, Pampanga.” – Ruel, Lawyer
“There is a new strip mall called Blue Bay Walk. I go there after class to unwind and escape the crowds of Mall of Asia. There is a huge park in the middle of the strip mall – similar to Ayala Triangle Garden. Plus, it is one of the few pet-friendly malls that I know of, so I bring Loki, my dog, on the weekends.” – Julius, Nursing Student
“Call me religious, but my comfort place is the Baclaran Church (The National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help). I am a devotee of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and I have not missed a Wednesday mass since I moved into the nearby condo community.” – May, Retired Teacher
